The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for the 2015 general elections is to emerge on December 10.
This is sequel to the amendment made in the scheduled dates for the remaining primaries of the party.
The amendment, which was made known on Saturday in Abuja, according to the party, was in exercise of its powers in Section 29 (2) (a) and (b) of its constitution (2012 as amended).
Under the arrangement, the House of Assembly primaries, earlier scheduled forNovember 15, will now hold on November 29.
The primaries for the National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives) will hold on December 6 and 7.
The primaries to nominate governorship candidates, which was earlier fixed forNovember 29, will now take place on December 8.
The national convention for the nomination of a presidential candidate of the party will now hold on December 10 and 11.
A statement by the PDP National Organising Secretary, Abubakar Mustapha, said the new timetable supercedes the earlier one released by the party.
“It is noted that the Independent National Electoral Commission has been notified of the review,” the statement added.
