Popular Yoruba actor, Olukayode Odumosu, better known as Pa Kasumu, still requires N6 million to enable him go for much needed treatment overseas.
This is against the N12 million earlier announced.
Although the family has yet to make this figure public, a family source said a fund raiser for the actor has been suspended for now.
The fund raising campaign was headed towards a different direction.
Further checks have it that some persons were almost hijacking the process and almost perfected plans to open separate accounts but the family was able to hinder the process.
According to another family source: “We strongly believe that most of them had ulterior motives so we had to rest it for now to avoid scandal regarding the donations.
The source also revealed that Odumosu is still being treated and had been responding positively to treatment.
“Right now, his sight is a lot better but he occasionally complains his sight is blurred and sees double image.
“His speech is also a lot better than before and he can recognise faces.
“We have also come to realise that it is not unconnected to the brain.
“This is good news notwithstanding.
“We still need to fly him abroad for appropriate treatment.
“We need at least N6 million.”
Presently, the 60-year old thespian, who has been in and out of the hospital, has been relocated by family members to Ibadan, Oyo State due to severity of the ailment.
