Oyo, SWAN commiserate with NBC, family over Director’s demise 

The Oyo State Government has commiserated with NBC over the demise of Olori Olajumoke Oginni, the South West Zonal Director of the commission.
This is contained in a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Toye Arulogun on Friday in Ibadan.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the deceased until her death on Tuesday, April 27 in Ibadan was the wife of Oba Olatunde Oginni, the Olodogbo of Odogbo-Ijesha in Osun State.
The deceased got married to the monarch on December 11, 2018, at Ibadan North-West Registry, Onireke.
NAN reports that Arulogun had also led the management team of the ministry to the NBC South West Zonal Office in Ibadan on a condolence visit.
The state government also commiserated with the Oginni family, praying God would grant them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
The statement described her death as a rude shock to the entire citizenry and the broadcast industry, saying the late Oginni’s experience and dedication to service would surely be missed.
The state government described the deceased as very hardworking, saying she was committed to the upliftment of organisational standards and ensured that broadcasting ethics were adhered to in the zone.
It described her as a woman of substance, who knew her onion in the broadcast industry, noting that her innovative ideas could be attested to by broadcast professionals in the state.
It stated: “On behalf of the government, governor and the people of Oyo State, kindly accept our heartfelt condolence on the demise of Jumoke Oginni.”
Also, the Oyo State Chapter of Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria also commiserated with NBC and the deceased family over the irreplaceable loss.
Niyi Alebiosu, the SWAN State Chairman, who led the association’s delegation to the deceased’s residence in Ibadan, described her death as a rude shock.
Alebiosu said that the late NBC Zonal Director was a professional to the core, adding that she gave her best to the upliftment of the broadcast industry in the state and Nigeria.
He said: “She is a very nice woman. I could recollect her immense contributions to the 2018 SWAN seminar, where she deployed her wealth of experience in educating our members on broadcast codes.
“There is no doubt that her experience will surely be missed.  We cannot but pray to God to forgive her shortcomings and grant her eternal rest.’’
He prayed that God grant her eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
