Due to internal crisis in the Ogun State chapter of All Progressives Congress, federal lawmakers from the state and a former Governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, shunned the ongoing National Convention of party.
The reason might not be unconnected with crisis that rock the party in Ogun State on who should control the structure of the party between the Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Osoba.
None of the senators from Ogun State, including Senator Olugbenka Kaka, who has been in the forefront of the protest against Amosun’s style of leadership, was present at the convention.
Only one member of House of Representatives was present.
However, delegates from Ogun State stormed the venue of the convention with fanfare as they were dancing, celebrating Amosun.
