Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen on Sunday failed to discover his scoring form as his Lille side fell by a lone goal to less-fancied Dijon in the French Ligue 1 tie.
The forward, who was in action for the entire 90 minutes, failed to level scores for his side after Julio Tavares shot the hosts into the lead in 47th minute of the encounter.
Lille now sits fifth with 31 points behind league leaders, Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Rennes and Nantes on the log.
Lille would aim to keep their league campaign alive when they host Paris Saint-Germain at Stade Pierre-Mauroyon on January 26.
Osimhen has so far banged in a total of 14 goals for the Les Dogues in all competitions.
