Osaze named Stoke’s World Cup best

Super Eagles’ striker, Osaze Odemwingie, has been voted Stoke`s standout player at the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Odemwingie became the first Stoke player to ever score in a World Cup finals tournament.
The 33-year-old forward scored his goal against his Potters teammate, Asmir Begovic, in Nigeria`s 1-0 victory against Bosnia.
The former Cardiff player helped the Super Eagles into the knockout round of the competition and beat his fellow teammates in the poll with an impressive 76 per cent of the vote.
Geoff Cameron placed a distant second with 11 per cent, while Asmir Begovic and Wilson Palacios got nine per cent and four per cent respectively in the Stoke best player of the World Cup poll.
