Osaze: I’ll shine at Rotherham

Striker Osaze Odemwingie hopes he can help change perceptions on age in football by becoming a key man at Rotherham.
The former Stoke City favourite, now 35, this week became Kenny Jackett’s first signing at Rotherham, tasked with helping drag the side away from the Championship danger zone.
It was only a serious knee injury that saw him fall down the pecking order at Stoke and he believes he still has plenty to offer.
“I’m 35 but I can still use both feet, find myself in the right place in the 18-yard box and I know how to create chances for my teammates,” he said.
“I still feel like the boy who came to Europe 14 years ago trying to find a club and a career.
“There are a few players who are my age who are still doing their thing as key men for their teams and I want to be one of them who changes people’s attitudes towards age in football.”
