A suspected serial shop and house burglar in Ogun State, Ugodalo Agbato, has been arrested.
The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Odutola said the arrest of the suspect followed a successful aggressive raid in the Atan Ota area of the state.
The Superintendent of Police said shop owners in Atan Ota had continued to raise complaints to Atan Ota Police Station since January 2024 about the rise in shop breaking.
She said the thieves had remained elusive and persistently carted away valuables worth millions, properties of the victims.
Odutola, however, said the mastermind ran out of luck on May 8, 2024 when the identity of the fleeing suspect was made known after he was apprehended.
She said an aggressive raid was carried out by the Divisional Police Officer within the Atan Ota axis, which led to the arrest of Agbato, 40.
