Super Eagles’ striker, Chinonso Obiozor, emerged the Man of the Match following a scintillating performance against the Brave Warriors of Zimbabwe at the CHAN 2014 third place tie on Saturday.
The Enugu Rangers player scored the only goal of the match late in the second half, rising between two defenders to head home from Ejike Uzoenyi’s pinpoint free kick.
Apart from scoring the only goal of the match, the lanky forward was full of running throughout the match and was always looking to take on defenders.
He operated on both flanks and played balls into the box and he was able to hold the ball up and get his teammates involved.
In a match where most of the players seemed to lack steam, Obiozor was determined to make the best of his start and it eventually paid off in the end.
