Issa Dodo, Team Manager of Jigawa Golden Star Football Club, says the club has recruited 13 players to strengthen the team for a promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Dodo told the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Abuja that with the recruitment, the club now has a total of 35 players to achieve its aim.
He said the state government had also promised to support the team to excel in the 2018 Betja Nigeria National League.
He said: “We will fight hard to bounce back to premier league because that is where we belong.
“We have recruited 13 players from different academy to strengthen our team for the ongoing NNL.
“We now have a total of 35 players in all.
“The Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, has been supportive to make the team have a good record in the league.”
NAN report that 2017/2018 NNL started on March 3.
