The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has predicted partly cloudy to sunny weather conditions over the central states of the country on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Sunday in Abuja also predicted day time temperatures in the range of 30 degrees to 36 degrees.
It also predicted night temperatures to be in the range of 15 degrees to 24 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Yenagoa in the morning.
It forecast day and night temperatures in the south to be in the range of 32 degrees to 34 degrees and 22 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted localised thunderstorms over Ikom, Benin, Ijebu, Obudu, Calabar, Lagos, Ado-Ekiti, Osogbo, Enugu, Port-Harcourt, Uyo and their environs during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the period with day time temperatures in the range of 36 degrees to 39 degrees and 17 degrees to 20 degrees Celsius in the night.
NiMet predicted: “Sunny and hazy conditions are expected to continue over the northern states with partly cloudy conditions prevailing over the central states.
“There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the inland and coastal cities within the next 24 hours.”
