The National Assembly under the Body of Christian Legislators on Thursday keyed into the “Change begins with me campaign” of the Federal Government by slating its 7th National Prayer Breakfast Session as a self probing one for all attendees.
The lawmakers in supporting the campaign spiritually, adopted a self rebirth theme for the prayer session.
It is titled: “Tree and its Fruit: Is yours a blessing or a curse to Nigeria?”
Addresing journalists on the prayer session slated for October 27, 2016 at the conference hall of the International Conference Centre, Abuja, the President of the Christian Legislators’ Fellowship, Senator Barnabas Gemade (PDP Benue North West), said as result of the importance of the spiritual gathering in tackling the challenges facing the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari, the entire leadership of the National Assembly, federal legislators, Ministers and diplomats have been invited.
Gemade said: “This year’s event is quite significant being the 7th National Prayer Breakfast because number seven in spiritual reckoning stands for perfection.
“Hence we intend to offer prayers to God to perfect all that concerns us as a Nation and usher us into a new beginning in this season.
“We pray that many patriotic nationals will join us as we pray to the God of all creation to direct our noble cause, to guide our leader’s right and help our youth to know the truth.
“That we will grow in love and honesty, to enable us build our nation as one, where peace and justice reign.”
