Nigerian duo of John Obi Mikel and Victor Moses are close to Chelsea’s exit door as the west London club is set for £110m squad clear-out ahead of new season.
Mikel has already seen his first team chances limited by the January arrival of Nemanja Matic and with plans afoot to bring in Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira Chelsea are ready to sell the long term Blues servant.
The 27-year old midfielder has completed eight seasons at the Premier League club but he failed to impress last term and a move away from the west London club is likely and Turkish giants Galatasaray are said to be keen.
Mikel’s compatriot, Moses was also sent out to Liverpool in order to seal a permanent transfer but didn’t impress as he would have hoped and Brendan Rodgers has no intention of signing the former Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace man on a permanent basis.
That said, at 23 years of age, Moses is still a player who will attract attention this summer and Chelsea will look to recoup at least £6m of the £9m they paid for his services back in August 2012.
Other players to be offloaded are; Branislav Ivanovic, Petr Cech, Marko Marin, Fernando Torres, Demba Ba, Oriol Romeu and Ryan Bertrand.
