A man has died in the Malaysian town of Kajang after the car he was driving collided with a cow near a toll plaza.
In the 6:30am incident at the Bangi toll plaza, Shimizuishi Masatoshi,a Japanese who is believed to be in his 40s, died on the spot, according to a report by New StraitsTimes of Malaysia
Bangi Fire and Rescue Department chief Rosman Majid said they received an emergency call at 6.40am.
Majid told the New Straits Times Press when contacted: “A fire and rescue team rushed to the scene and arrived five minutes later.
“When they arrived, firemen discovered an accident involving a car and a cow.
“The team proceeded to extract the victim from the vehicle using a hydraulic cutting machine.”
Majid said a medical team, who rushed to the scene from a nearby hospital, confirmed the victim’s death.
He added: “Based on initial investigations, the victim was believed to be heading to work at the Nilai Industrial Estate.
“The cow that was knocked down also died.”
