Majekodunmi, former administrator of Western Region, dies

The former administrator of the defunct Western Region, Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi, is dead.

Majekodunmi, a foremost medical doctor and founder of St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, died on Wednesday at 96.
He died at the St. Nicholas Hospital. where he held sway as chairman.
Majekodunmi was a senator in the First Republic.
From the legislature, he was appointed a Federal Minister of State (Army) and later the Minister of Health.
He became the Administrator of the Western Region in 1962 after the proclamation of a state of emergency.
Majekodunmi was the personal physician to then Prime Minister, late Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
