The Lagos State Residents Registration Agency said on Wednesday that
it has commenced weekend registration of residents across the state.
The General Manager of LASRRA, Yinka Fashola, said the arrangement was
aimed at ensuring that workers participate fully in the ongoing
residents’ registration exercise.
Fashola spoke at an interactive session with stakeholders at Ikeja.
Fashola noted that the weekend registration would also avail staff
members of companies to register without disrupting their official
duties.
Fashola said: “LASRRA is currently talking with organisations that
have more than 100 staff to register them at their various office
locations on Saturdays.
“The exercise has been designed to allow residents in all parts of the
state to register at their convenience.”
The general manager said the agency’s team would visit such
organisations to register their staff members.
Fashola advised multi-nationals and companies, which had not been
reached by the agency, to contact it for the registration of their
employees.
She added that the exercise would take place at all youth and
vocational training centers across the state from 8am to 3pm.
