Lagos State Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, is now presiding over today’s plenary session following a strategic meeting involving herself, the ousted Lagos State Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, Lagos State Attorney General, Lawal Mohammed Alade Pedro (SAN), APC Chairman Cornelius Ojelabi, and 38 lawmakers at the assembly garden.
Obasa was noticeably absent as lawmakers convened, with some APC chieftains in attendance.
During the plenary session, the lawmaker took turns to commend the legislative acumen, diligence, and performance of Speaker Mojisola Meranda within her short time in office.
At the session, which began at about 2:20 p.m., Aro Moshood initiated the praise session, describing Meranda’s tenure as “positively life-transforming.”
Kehinde Joseph, representing Alimosho II, added, “You have made history with your resilience and humility. Your time may be short, but you have written your name in gold.”
