Issa Aremu, the President, Global Industrial Union, on Friday in Ilorin, donated a mosque to the Kwara Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
The mosque, erected in honour of the late wife of the labour leader, Hajia Amudalat Aremu, was built within the premises of the NUJ state secretariat.
Aremu said he was moved to build a mosque in honour of his late wife because she was a righteous and generous woman during her lifetime.
According to him, the late wife during her sojourn on earth was a bridge builder among members of the family.
He applauded the NUJ for assisting in ensuring the actualisation of the project.
Unveiling the mosque, Alhaji Abdulhameed Adi, the President, Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, said that building the mosque was the best way to immortalise a righteous wife.

He said he was convinced that the deceased and the family would enjoy the reward of the gesture in haven and on earth.
The IEDPU also commended the state council of the NUJ for providing the piece of land for the project.
The NUJ Chairman in Kwara, Abiodun Abdulkareem, who was represented by Mustapha Abubakar, commended the union leader for the gesture.
