Suleiman Ashifat, an assistant to Coach Abubakar Bala of Kwara United in the just concluded Nigeria Professional Football League 2018/2019 season, has been appointed the substantive Head Coach of the team.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the club’s Media Officer, Abdulwaheed Bibire, made this known in a statement on Tuesday in Ilorin.
The statement added that the appointment was with immediate effect.
It said the club also retained 27 players and declared 13 surplus to requirement preparatory to the 2019/2020 Nigeria National League season.
The statement said all administrative staff of the team were to continue with their daily service to the club.
It advised the retained players to be of good conduct and embrace the professionalism the team was known for pending resumption for the new season.
