Super Eagles’ gaffer, Stephen Keshi, has named the duo of Ikechukwu Uche and Emmanuel Emenike to lead the country’s attack in Wednesday’s (today’s) AFCON 2015 qualifying tie against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Emenike and Uche will be joined by Ahmed Musa in the attack as the African champions will be hoping to secure victory, which will confirm their place for Equatorial Guinea 2015.
Raheem Lawal will replace Hope Akpan in the midfield, with Ogenyi Onazi and Obi Mikel expected to hold middle against Ephraim Mashaba’s side.
Eagles welcome back Kenneth Omeruo into the starting line up as he will be replacing Godfrey Oboabona who is out of this encounter due to card offences, while also listed in the defence line are Efe Ambrose, Juwon Oshaniwa and Azubuike Egwuekwe
Nigeria must beat the South Africa at the Akwa Ibom Stadium to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The match kicks of at 6pm.
