Keshi to recall sacked Valere, Okpalla still out

The Eagle Online has exclusively gathered that Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi, is planning to recall his Togolese assistant, Valere.
The Nigeria Football Federation recently laid off some of the back room staff of the Super Eagles as a result of funding problem confronting the Football House.
The exercise consumed two assistant coaches, Sylvanus Okpala and Valere.
Others included the Psychologist and Media Officer of the team.
When Keshi returned he was not happy but there was nothing he could do since the Nigeria Football Federation stood its ground not to include the affected team officials.
The option now is for Keshi to accept the NFF decision or think of other options.
Keshi actually needs the services of a trainer and he is considering bringing back his sacked but trusted Trainer, Valere, in a special arrangement, which means he (Keshi) would be personally paying the salaries and bonuses of the coach, who hails from Togo.
The NFF had to be rescued by the Sports Minister, Bolaji Abdullahi, when the Minister assured the Football House that he would source for funds for the home-based Super Eagles to participate in the Africa Nations Championship, popularly known as CHAN, when the NFF was considering pulling out of the qualifying stages of the competition for lack of funds.
