The Peoples Democratic Party in Kaduna State on Saturday expressed reservations over the process of the conduct of the council poll in the state.
Speaking through its Publicity Secretary, Abraham Alberah, the party said it noted some anomalies in the process.
The party said by the rule of the game as stated by the Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission law, there would be print-out from each Electronic Voting Machine before the commencement of election, which would indicate no figure.
The party, however, alleged that judging from the first print-out of most polling units, it seemed that the machine had been tampered with.
It therefore called on the state’s electoral body to do the needful as stipulated by the law.
It said: “We call on our supporters to remain calm and go ahead with the election by casting their vote where the EVMs are working well.”
In her reaction, the Chairman of KADSIECOM, Saratu Audu-Dikko, said one of the major challenges faced was that some of the Presiding Officers had mistakenly tampered with the original setting of the time.
Audu-Dikko added: “We cannot re-set the time until we get the factory cards, which are not available in all the Local Government Areas.
“As such, they had to wait until the machine time synchronises with the actual election time.”
