President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday sacked the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Malam Habib Abdullahi.
The sack was announced via a press statement by presidential spokesperson, Dr. Reuben Abati.
The statement did not state any reason for the sack of Abdullahi.
The President, according to the statement, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero as the new Managing Director of the NPA.
Alhaji Bayero, a lawyer, hails from Kano State.
His appointment, according to the statement, takes effect from April 30 2015.
