The Chairman, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Zikhirullah Hassan, has commiserated with the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs over the death of its Director of Administration, Yusuf Nwoha.
Nwoha died on Wednesday in a ghastly motor accident in Okene, Kogi State on his way to Owerri, Imo State to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir with his family.
The NAHCON boss in a statement, which he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abuja, described the deceased as a dedicated and focused person.
Hassan said: “I, the Chairman, board members, management and entire staff of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) received the shocking news of the fatal accident that claimed the life of one of our own, Mallam Yusuf Chinedu Nwoha.
“Until his sudden death, Malam Nwoha was a NAHCON board member representing Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).
“The deceased made meaningful suggestions on improving Hajj participation from Nigeria’s South East region, his birthplace.”
Hassan prayed that the Almighty God would have mercy on the deceased’s soul and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“May the Infinite Lord have mercy on Mallam Yusuf Nwoha’s kind soul and console his family on this irreparable loss,” he said.
