Nigeria’s Yinka Ayenuwa took the country’s medal haul to four with a silver medal in men’s 69kg weightlifting event at the ongoing Glasgow 2014 Commwealth Games on Saturday.
Ayenuwa made it to medals zone with a total of 301kg in snatch, clean jerk event.
The Nigerian narrowly missed the gold medal with only 4kg, as Malaysia’s Mohad Hodfi Mansour won the category by totalling 305kg to win the category.
Indonesia’s O. Otari took the bronze medal with 269kg.
Nigeria hopes to win more medals as other weight category in weightlifting.
Athletics will begin on Sunday (today).
