There were indications on Tuesday morning that one of the longest serving players of Manchester United, Ryan Giggs, will serve as the team’s interim manager until the end of the season.
This development followed the sacking on Tuesday of the club’s Manager, David Moyes.
According to a report monitored on Press Association, Giggs, born November 29, 1973, was tipped by the management of Manchester United to stand in as manager until the end of the season.
Standing at 1.8 metres and 68 kg, Giggs joined Manchester United on November 1, 1990, making it 23 years and five months since he signed for last season’s league champions.
Welsh by birth, Gigg has appeared 631 times for Manchester United, winning 13 titles and scoring 109 goals.
A home grown player, Giggs has attracted 36 yellow cards with his contract to last until June 30 this year.
His last international game for Wales was on June 2, 2007 under Coach John Toshack against Czech Republic.
