The Foundation for Combined African Medical Missions will hold its launching and benefit gala on April 28, 2012 at the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, DC.
The event is the organisation’s first fundraising effort since it was formalised last fall.
Celebrities that have expressed support for the project include comedian Tommy Davidson and Sahr Ngaujah, lead actor in FELA!
An unnamed African royal dignitary will preside as honorary chair for the invitation-only event.
Donations are tax-deductible and funds raised from this event will benefit medical missions that provide healthcare services in impoverished African countries.
The Foundation for Combined African Medical Missions is a 501C-3 non-profit entity established for the purpose of advancing healthcare and providing overall health training to under-developed communities in Africa.
FCAMM organises health professionals of diverse specialties to provide medical services, education, medications and supplies to impoverished communities in Africa.
