Fashola approves appointment of six new judges

Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Monday approved the appointment of six new high court judges for the state.
This was contained in a statement issued in Lagos by the spokesperson for the Lagos State Judiciary, Grace Alo.
According to the statement, the newly appointed judges are: Folashade Bankole-Oki, Michael Savage, Sedotan Ogunsanya, Wasiu Animahun, Oyindamola Ogala and Ganiyu Safari.
The statement said that the approval followed the recommendation of the National Judicial Council under the chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mariam Aloma-Mukhtar.
The statement said that the appointment brought to 56 the number of judges in the state judiciary.
It said that the newly appointed judges would be sworn-in on May 28.
