The immediate past Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, has commiserated with the Olatinwo Family of Offa following the death of Dr. Muftau Olatinwo, former Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Offa.
Alhaji Ahmed, in a statement by his spokesman, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, on Saturday described Olatinwo’s death as a loss not only to his family and Offa community, but also to Kwara State.
While comforting and urging the family to accept the loss as the will of Allah, the former Governor described the late Rector as a consummate administrator, innovative academic and committed community builder, whose legacies of service will endure.
Ahmed added that Olatinwo will be remembered for significantly expanding infrastructure at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, where he is also credited with creating life-changing opportunities for several young Nigerians.
Ahmed also commiserated with the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, over the demise of Olatinwo, and urged the monarch to take heart from the fact that the late Rector was an accomplished and worthy son of Offa who sustained the Olatinwos tradition of charity and community service.
He prayed that Almighty Allah will forgive the late technocrat and admit him to Aljanah Firsaus.
