Barely 48 hours to nationwide protest against bad governance in Nigeria, some suspected thugs have begun to threaten Lagos State residents not to come out for the hunger protest scheduled for Thursday, August 1 to 10
In a concerning video which emerged on Tuesday, thugs were captured intimidating market traders on Lagos Island
In the viral clip, the people whose voices were only heard were chastising the market women and men to desist from the planned protest as it might lead to more destruction than that witnessed in the #EndSARS protest

The footage, which has been widely circulated, depicts the thugs moving through the market and threatening traders with severe consequences if they do not comply with their demands
One of the individuals in the video is heard warning, “Nigerians, you are not the only people hungry. Do not come out on August 1st to protest. Well, if you get the mind to come out, see what will happen to you.
