Kano State House of Assembly has described as fake, speculations that it has not reopened for plenary over security, emanating from the recurring emirate tussle issues.
The spokesperson for the Speaker, Kamaluddeen Shawai told the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday that the viral news “is simply fake and baseless”.
Shawai urged the good people of the state to disregard any report insinuating that the assembly has not reopened for plenary due to insecurity caused by emirate tussle.
“The purported fear of attacks and delay in resuming the plenary are nothing but the works of mischievous elements within society.
“The assembly will resume plenary very soon,” he assured.
