Ekiti victory will be replicated in Osun, others – Uduaghan

The Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, has boosted that the Peoples Democratic Party will grab Osun State from the All Progressives Congress.
Uduaghan maintained that his party remains the leading platform to cling any elective position in Nigeria and the only vehicle to get dividends of democracy.
While he said Nigerians have realized that the ruling party represents the “true face of leadership”, he urged those who have decamped to retrace their steps.
Speaking at his mid-year briefing at the Government House in Asaba, the Delta State capital, on Friday, the governor, who relayed his giant strides in the education and health sectors since the beginning of 2014, said the victory his party recorded in Ekiti State would translate into success in the 2015 presidential election.
According to him, the presidential election will be a walkover for the ruling PDP.
He said: “PDP is still the number one party in Nigeria.
“We were all witnesses to what happened in Ekiti State recently.
“Something like that will be replicated in Osun State.
“We are taking them back one after the other.
“By the time we get to the presidency, you will see that we are leading.
“Our lost sheep are retracing their steps.
“In the forthcoming council polls in our state here, I have not anointed anybody because I am the governor of all the contestants.
“As much as possible, some aspirants are stepping down for the other in my party.”
Uduaghan however lamented that other registered political parties in the state were neither consulting nor campaigning like their counterparts in the ruling party.
He said: “Since DSIEC announced the date for the conduct of the election, we only hear PDP campaigning across the state.
“We are the only one moving round.
“By the time they lose now, they will later be protesting.”
