Foremost governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Barrister Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, popularly known as K-RAD, has felicitated with Muslims across the country in general and Osun State in particular on the Eid-l-fitr celebration.
Releasing the congratulatory message in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, K-RAD thanked Allah who made the 29-day fasting a successful one for the Muslim Ummah, enjoining them to continue in the spirit of piety and forgiveness as exhibited during the month of Ramadan.
Adegoke said: “As we canvassed for piety and a forgiving spirit among us all during the start of the holy month, the essence of the 29 day fasting is not only for diet discipline but to be able to have the space in dropping bad habits and picking up the good ones. The main purpose of Ramadan is to bring us out clean in all spheres of human endeavour as we continue to apply the lessons learnt during the month of Ramadan on the day-to-day running of our affairs.”
K-RAD went further to admonish the Muslim faithful and Osun State indigenes in its entirety to find a place to forgive each other, especially at this critical time of politicking when tempers may easily get flared.
He said: “We are not oblivious of the fact that politics and politicking is up in the air in Osun state, while there are so many hopefuls jostling just for a singular position, let us all imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and cohesion as entrenched in us during Ramadan, for this is the only tool that we can use to navigate the situation we find ourselves now that the race is getting hotter.”
The erudite lawyer also extend his greetings to the Osun State League of Imams and Alfas on the auspicious celebration of Eid-l-fitr, while he offered prayer for the peaceful co-existence of Osun State indigenes.
