The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has berated the Nigerian Police over the unkept state of most of their barracks.
Wike made the remark at the commission of the barracks of the Special Protection Unit of the Nigeria Police in the state.
The barracks, which was commissioned on Tuesday, is located in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Wike questioned if being dirty was a sickness in the police.
He said: “I don’t know whether it is a sickness in the police.
“Anywhere they live, the place should be dirty.
“IG I thank you for saying that you would supervise…look at how clean it is now…I hope when we come back here in the few months, it will be clean like this.”
