Deontay Wilder is contemplating retirement after his latest defeat to Tyson Fury.
The Bronze Bomber lost his WBC heavyweight world title to the Gypsy King in February 2020 after drawing their first fight.
The two warriors then produced a battle for the ages two months ago as they met for a third time.
But despite Wilder knocking the Brit down twice, he suffered a knockout blow in the 11th to end their long-running rivalry.
While Fury now looks set to defend against Dillian Whyte in 2022 before attempting to unify the division against Oleksandr Usyk or Anthony Joshua, questions remain over what is next for the man he beat.
Wilder recently insisted on his fiancée Telli Swift’s podcast that ‘the best is yet to come’ as he vowed to return to the ring.
Now it seems he may be having a change of heart with the 36-year-old star hinting he could hang up the gloves for good.
Speaking to Kevin Hart on the Cold As Balls on the Laugh Out Loud Network, Wilder said: “It’s mixed feelings because ultimately I have accomplished all my goals in this sport.
“I told my daughter when she was one that I’d be a champion and I’d be able to support her beyond her belief.
“I’ve done that. There’s a lot of things that I’ve accomplished that I feel I have to prove to anyone because I’ve already proven (myself).
“Should I push forward? Should I give it a go one more time? Or should I just retire and focus on the other things that I already have, other things that I want to get into?”
