Wilder’ s defeats to Fury were the only two losses in his career – with an outstanding 42-2-1 record with 41 knockouts. A clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has long been framed as a potential blockbuster and the biggest bout in this generation of British boxing. Undefeated Fury (32-0-1) has dominated almost all the major competition in the heavyweight division, while ‘AJ’ (24-2) was a seemingly invincible force until he lost to Andy Ruiz in 2019.

The two heavyweights went toe-to-toe in an incredible bout in Las Vegas as Fury survived two knockdowns in the fourth round to finally KO his American opponent with a brutal series of punches in the 11th round.

Joshua and Fury, who between them own all four heavyweight titles, were set for the first of two blockbuster fights on August 14 before a US judge this week ordered that Fury must fight American challenger Deontay Wilder before September 15.
