Joshua and Fury, who between them own all four heavyweight titles, were set for the first of two blockbuster fights on August 14 before a US judge this week ordered that Fury must fight American challenger Deontay Wilder before September 15.

Joshua and Fury look set to finally fight next year, as long as AJ beats Kubrat Pulev next weekend and the Gypsy King either comes through a proposed bout in early 2021 or simply waits for the super fight in the summer.

According to TalkSport.com, the Nigerian Olympian is one of the contenders lined up to meet the “Gypsy King,” who recently resolved to move on after waiting a trilogy with Deontay Wilder that has dragged for “too long.”

The Gypsy King had stated that he would listen to his family’s pleas and hang up his gloves after three more fights since stunning Deontay Wilder to win the WBC Heavyweight Championship in February.

Fury dominated Wilder last month, inflicting a first career defeat on his American opponent to claim the WBC world heavyweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
