The Secretariat of the 66th Executive Committee Meeting of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Africa Region, has commended the Delta State House of Assembly for its excellent organisation of the ongoing conference in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The Assistant Regional Secretary of the body, Demetrius Mgalami, gave the commendation when Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the host legislature, visited the secretariat to enable him assess the preparations toward a successful hosting.
Mgalami expressed satisfaction with all aspects of the pre-event organisation, pointing out that the present level of organisation met all international standards, a development that classifies the host legislature as proactive.
He further revealed that the administrative, accommodation, feeding and security arrangements are attestations to the high rating associated with the Delta State legislature and indeed the Delta State Government.
Ochei informed the body that the desire to be the perfect hosts evolved pragmatic approach to excellence in anticipation of a landmark hosting, adding that Delta State has been synonymous with hospitality to guests.
He consequently urged the delegate parliamentarians to offer ways of improvement when necessary, while giving the assurance that as hosts, every effort would be made to make their stay memorable.
