The British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has left the intensive care unit after spending three nights there for the treatment of symptoms associated with the Coronavirus Disease.
This was disclosed on Thursday by his office in a statement.
The statement said: “The Prime Minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery.
“He is in extremely good spirits.”
As at Thursday, the UK recorded another 881 deaths, taking its total to 7,978.
