The Court of Appeal in Abuja has ordered the Department of State Services to produce ex-National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd), before a Federal High Court in Abuja to testify in a case involving a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh.
The court in a unanimous judgement delivered by its three-man panel, also ordered the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang, of the High Court, who is the trial judge in Metuh’s case, to sign the subpoena filed by the Metuh.
Justice Peter Ige, who delivered the lead judgement of the appellate court, asked Abang to indicate the date the DSS must produce Dasuki in court and other subsequent dates.
The court upheld Metuh’s appeal and nullified the ruling delivered by Abang on February 23, 2017.
