Copyright week begins

The much publicized Copyright Society of Nigeria week will begin on Sunday.
According to the statement, the two weeks activities will kick off on May 19, with a church programme tagged Coson In The Church.
This will take place at the Household of God, Oregun, Lagos.
Top Nigeria gospel singers are expected to perform at the event, while business icons and political leaders from every spectrum are billed to attend.
Seasoned broadcasters and actor, Patrick and Ireti Doyle, will anchor the event.
The  event continues on Monday with the Coson lecture, which takes place at the National Theatre Iganmu, Lagos State.
Speakers include, Prof. Helge Ronning of the University of Oslo, Prof. Bankole Sodipo and Prof. Adebambo Adewopo.
Other speakers expected to speak are Prof. Emevwo Biakolo, Dean, School of Media and Communications, Pan African University; and Tarja Kosskinen-Olsson from Finland.
Also on the panel is Afam Ezekude, the Director-General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, while Rolf Ree, the Ambassador of Norway to Nigeria, will be special guest of honour.
On May 21, there will be a big party in Lagos State, as notable Nigeria artistes offer their fans an unprecedented free street party.
The street jam party will start at 9am at Apple Junction in Festac/Amuwo area.
The street party will also have its presence felt at Agboju, Maza Maza, Alaka, Surulere, Ojuelegba, Ikorodu Road, Ikeja, Maryland and all over Lagos State.
The event continues on May 22, with Coson Green Ball.
All roads lead to the prestigious MUSON Centre, where the programme takes place.
Selected artistes such as Waje, Twoface, Timi Dakolo and Ras KiMono have been penciled down to thrill the guests, while the All Stars Table Tennis Blow Out will hold on May 23.
On May 24, all Moslem members of Coson throughout the Federation will be at the Mosque to re-echo the prayers and supplication to the Almighty for a great nation challenged by circumstances, a lot of which are man made.
Special prayers will be said at the Lagos Central Mosque, Lagos Island.
Coson Song Awards is scheduled for May 25,.
The event will be staged at Lagos Oriental Hotel, Vitoria Island, Lagos.
