Stephen Maiyaki, the Kogi State Commissioner for Lands and Housing, has been kidnapped.
The News Agency of Nigeria gathered that Maiyaki was kidnapped by people numbering up to six at about 8.30am on Sunday in his farm at Osara in Adavi Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Shola Adebayo, confirmed the story, but said details will be provided later.
Maiyakim was appointed commissioner in May 2012.
Justice Christopher Olorunyomi of the State High Court was similarly kidnapped in the same area on May 27 and his whereabouts are still unknown.
Olorunyomi’s abductors are demanding N150 million before he could be released.
