Buhari’s policies are youth friendly-Anambra Coordinator

Nwoye made the disclosure while addressing some youths at a meeting tagged “Next level” in Awka on Sunday.

Tony Nwoye, the National Coordinator, Youth Mobilisation and Strategies, Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, says that all policies formulated by President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration were youth friendly.
Nwoye made the disclosure while addressing some youths at a meeting tagged “Next level” in Awka on Sunday.
According to Nwoye, a former APC governorship candidate in Anambra and onetime National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Buhari’s policies are youth-friendly.
He said: “Apart from fighting corruption that has reduced drastically, the fight against insurgency and armed bandits in the North East, the president has also initiated programmes targeted at development of youths.”
He said programmes such as Tradermoni, school feeding programme, transparent recruitment exercise, N-Power programme and the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme were all geared towards youth empowerment.
The coordinator asked Anambra youths to vote massively for the re-election of Buhari urging them to shun sentiments on matters that bordered on their future at the election.
Nwoye urged the youth to put aside party affiliations and give Buhari over 70 per cent votes in the state to benefit more from government’s lined up programmes for youths.
While expressing confidence that Buhari will win, he said “APC will disgrace PDP in Anambra in this election, you can take it from me, but we are going to have an organised structure”.
He said: “Mr President has also cautioned against fake news, gossips, negative remarks or acts capable of inciting violence.”
Also speaking, the Coordinator, Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria, Chief Jonhbosco Onunkwo, commended the youth for their large turnout in the meeting.
Onunkwo, who, said that the large turnout showed that they had a stake in the campaign project, called on them to vote for Buhari and all APC candidates in the state.
The youths pledged that what transpired against Buhari in the region in the last elections would not repeat itself with Nwoye as their leader.
Some of the youth, who spoke at the meeting include the South East Youth leader of APC, Odu Onyeka, former governorship aspirant in the state, Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Dozie Ikedife Jr. and Pascal Candle, among others.
