The Senate has directed Governor Godwin Obaseki to issue fresh proclamation of the Edo State Assembly within one week.
The Senate also resolved that if the Governor fails to issue fresh proclamation, it will take over the Assembly.
The decision of the Senate was as result of the report submitted by the Adhoc Committee it set up to investigate the matter.
The Senate added in its resolution that the Clerk should issue fresh proclamation as it was done in the previous Edo State House of Assembly.
Presenting the report, the Chairman of the Panel, Abdullahi Sabi, said the notice was only pasted on the notice board, that the lawmakers were not properly informed.
