The meeting between the leadership of the All Progressives Congress and members of the party’s Senate caucus has begun.
The meeting, announced earlier in the day by the President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, is expected to address areas of conflict between the lawmakers and President Muhammadu Buhari on the amended Electoral Act.
Buhari had refused to assent to the amended Act, with the lawmakers threatening to override him.
The National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, is leading the National Working Committee of the party to the meeting, while Saraki is at the head of the Senate Caucus.
