The confirmation was made on Monday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The NCDC said the new case was one of those who had contact with the index case, an Italian, who arrived Nigeria on February 25.
The tweet said the newest case is located in Ogun State.
Several persons were quarantined at the Lafarge Cement plant of Lafarge Africa Plc, where the Italian had gone for his business transaction.
According to NCDC: “This second case is a contact of the index case, in Ogun State.
“The new case has been in isolation and was tested as part of our strategy to test all contacts of the index case.”
The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, has also confirmed the latest case.
