The Kano State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Alhaji Abdullahi Minkaila, was on Thursday burnt to death with his family, The Nation is reporting.
Minkaila was burnt along with his wife and two children in an inferno when his residence was engulfed by fire.
The late Minkaila and his family were rushed to the Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital, where they gave up the ghost on Friday morning.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained at press time.
The spokesman of the Independent Electoral Commission in Kano State, Mallam Garba, confirmed the incident.
