Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has described Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa State as the “best performing governor” the state has ever produced.
Abubakar made the statement on Thursday in Girei at the commencement of the construction of the 27.5km Girei-Pariya-Wuro Boki Road in Adamawa State.
He said the road project would boost the economy of the state.
He said that the level of development witnessed in the state during the administration of Bindow was unprecedented.
The former Vice President pledged that he would continue to support the administration to achieve its vision of transforming the state.
Abubakar said that a former Governor of the state, Boni Haruna also did his best, adding that he completed most of the uncompleted projects he inherited from the military government.
In his remarks at the occasion, Bindow urged politicians in the state not to distract his administration with insults.
He said that his administration was determined to serve the state irrespective f socio-political and cultural differences.
He commended the former vice president for always encouraging him in his efforts to develop the state.
