The Senate on Thursday approved the proclamation of a state of emergency in Rivers State by President Bola Tinubu after a closed door session.
The Eagle Online recalls that President Tinubu on Tuesday declared a statement of emergency over the political crisis rocking Rivers State.

The decision of the Senate on Thursday was sequel to a closed door session, which lasted for over 40 minutes.
