As the Super Eagles of Nigeria get set to confront Kenya in the FIFA, Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier, the world soccer ruling body has handed assignments to three Nigerians.
CAF General Coordinator and member of the NFF Technical Committee Paul Bassey, has been appointed Match Commissioner for the explosive must win World Cup Group D match between Ghana and Sudan taking place on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The referees are from Malawi, while the Security Officer for the match is Egypt’s Dr. Adnan El Guindy
Dr. Bolaji Ojo Oba on his part has also been appointed by FIFA as Security Officer for the clash between Lesotho and Zambia coming up in Maseru, also on Sunday.
Oba is expected to jet out from Algeria where he is presently, as a member of the CAF U-20 Organising Committee.
Foremost referee, Peter Edibi, will also be called to duty in Guinea where he will be assisting referee Alioum Neant of Cameroun to handle the match between Senegal and Angola.
It will be recalled that Senegal is under suspension for the Nations Cup match riot against Cote Divoire hence the movement of their match to the September 28 Stadium in Conakry, Guinea.
