Top Nigerian comedians will this weekend storm the ultramodern Jogor Event Centre, Ibadan, Oyo State for the next edition of Glo Premium comedy show, Glo Laffta Fest, packaged by next generation telecommunications operator, Globacom.
The humour merchants expected at the show include top comedian, Basketmouth; irrepressible Bovi; On-Air-Personality and stand-up comedian, Osama; popular comedienne, Helen Paul; the social media specialist, Mr. Patrick; and ‘Preacher’ and ‘Interpreter’ comic duo, Still Ringing.
The Glo Laffta Fest, which is being held in Ibadan on Sunday for the second time within two months, will be anchored by the Nollywood duo of Ebube Nwagbo and Uche Jombo and will also feature celebrity appearance by Nollywood stars, including Richard Mofe-Damijo, Odunlade Adekola, Mr. Latin and Victor Osuagwu.
Globacom, in a press statement, said: “Glo Laffta Fest in Ibadan in June was unbelievable fun. But the residents of this great city should expect an even more explosive show on Sunday.”
Also speaking, top humour merchants, Bovi and Basketmouth, stated that Ibadan show will be another evening of endless laughter.
They assured residents of a fun-filled evening.
Also, the duo of Still Ringing urge the residents to attend the show, assuring them of the best of comedy.
“You know us now, just come and let us pass you power like power holding. We will minister to you and you will never remain the same,” Still Ringing said.
To attend the Ibadan show, Glo subscribers are expected to use up to N2,000 credit within one month and text LOL with the location name to the short code 240.
For example: “LOL Ibadan” to 240.
Subscribers who do not meet this criterion, but who wish to attend the show are requested to go to the event venue with N2,000 to purchase airtime for their own use.
They will then be entitled to a ticket.
The Glo Laffta Fest train will move to other cities, including FESTAC in Lagos; Suleja, Niger State; Kano, Kano State; Anyigba and Lokoja, both in Kogi State; Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Onitsha, Anambra State; Makurdi, Benue State; and Ajah in Lagos State in the coming weeks.
